John, first off, thanks for spending the time to check out Work It, Mom! I appreciate a lot of your comments (specifically one about stock photos on home page - check out our slightly remodeled homepage, launched today).

But I do wish that perhaps before writing about our Flip This House approach you'd reached out to talk to us. Yes, Victoria and I are both ex-VCs, but we-re also both moms - well, I am a mom to a 3 year old, and she is expecting her first baby. We started this site because we were missing a place to connect to professional moms - not because we're flipping it in a year. In fact, we've not taken the loads of venture capital financing we've been offered, and are instead bootstrapping with our own resources and a very small angel investments from some folks in the digital media space. Not what you'd do if you were building something to grow quickly and flip.

Hey John,

Thanks for mentioning Minti, it's funny how we founders watch blogs for our company names. ;)

Anyway - your post was a great read. The space is certainly heating up, and the members over at Minti are really enjoying the site.

Would love to hear your thoughts on Minti.

Cheers
Clay

interesting that VCs choose not to take VC money when they do their own startup....
