"Chaos sorting itself out." Pretty much sums up that day on Twitter.

There are all sorts of tradeoffs with consumer/citizen journalism...speed for accuracy, approachability for lack of clarity, honesty for sensitivity, and yes--transparency for privacy, in regards to whether or not the perpetrators can gain information.

I'm still stunned at how quickly the non-professional coverage has evolved over the last year or two.
