Beauty Dish Redux

I have meant to follow up on my observations of the unofficial Avon "lady" site, Beauty Dish. In an earlier post, I wondered if "Birdie" was real. Well I asked her. And she responded. I still think she is one of the greatest things that Avon could have come up with had they come up with her (they didn't). I just revisited her site and caught some of her postings about bringing Avon brochures to a Scientology compound in New Mexico. If that doesn't smack of commitment to Avon, I don't know what does. If I were a woman, I would buy Avon products from her. She's real.

Another posting about hair care where she openly criticizes one Avon hair product while finding another that does work for her (as she was growing her hair back after a shaved head espiode) makes it all real. More sales-driven organizations/individuals should consider her approach. After speaking with her via email, I believe she arrived here - blogging and selling Avon - by the vagaries of trudging the road of life, rather than some calculated maneuver. I continue to wish her luck.

what a wonderful thing to say about Birdie. I know her personally, and I agree that she is 100% real.

independant, delight-driven advocates for specific brands can not be surpassed for reliable authentic information; nor can they be created by corporate fiat.
